Three Generations of Wells Women exude Love & Joy at the Women of Faith “Loved” Tour Conferences
November 15, 2015, Dallas, Texas – Performing before thousands is second nature to Thelma Wells, one of the original Women of Faith speakers. But, during this farewell 20th year “Loved” conference tour, she delights in inviting her daughter and business partner, Vikki Wells, and her granddaughter, Marsaille Wells-Tennard, to the main stage.
Speaking about the “Power of Love through the Generations,” Thelma Wells (also known as “Mama T”) touches the heart of the 5,000+ audience of women when she tells her own personal story. Being locked in a closet as a young child by her grandmother was tragic, but Wells shares that we really don’t understand why people do the things they do. She encourages the audience to ask God for understanding with past hurts, disappointments and tragedies as she has done. She also shares that it was her great grandmother, Sarah Harrell, who showed her love and compassion. At the age of 60 years of old, she took Wells’ into her home to raise. Wells’shares that it was her love that shielded her from anger and encouraged her that she could be her best in spite of the actions of her grandmother. Wells then honors all the grandmothers in the audience who are raising their grandchildren. Hundreds of women stand to their feet as they are applauded. There is seldom a dry eye in the crowd.
To conclude her message, Wells invites her daughter, Vikki, and granddaughter, Marsaille to the stage. Vikki, a former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader and SMU Law School grad, takes the microphone and thanks her mother for being a best friend and positive influence. Then, Marsaille, a 10-year old talented singer and dancer, sings, “Jesus Loves Me.” Her extraordinary mature soulful voice brings the crowd to a standing ovation.
Wells’ who has appeared who has been featured in D Magazine, Southern Living, The Dallas Business Journal, Significant Living and many more publications and TV shows including Dr. Phil, says “This is a dream come true. To grace the stage with the likes of Zig Ziglar, Max Lucado, Lisa Whelchel and Sheila Walsh is wonderful. But, it’s extra special to have my children minister with me. It’s more than I could ask or even imagine.!”
Thelma, Vikki and Marsaille are a triple treat of talent, enthusiasm and commitment.
Thelma and Vikki own business together. That A Girl Speakers & Community Enrichment Agency, books corporate and religious speakers for conferences and professional training as wells hosts enrichment speaking tours to schools.
