Singer Marsaille, 10, brings 'Toys for Kids' event to children at Ronald McDonald

Marsaille Wells-Tennard, 10 year old singer, actor, songwriter and dancer, performed in Dallas on the 27th of September at 6:00 pm to launch her "Toys for Kids" enrichment tour* at the Ronald McDonald House in Dallas.

During her presentation to approximately twenty families and children with serious illnesses and injuries, she talked about the importance of appreciating the support and love of family, having fun and using your talents no matter what. She sung four songs including the song she used to try out for America's Got Talent, "Feeling Good," and also "Somewhere over the Rainbow," "Jesus Loves Me" and an original song written by her entitled, "Yes, We're Rocking to the Beat."

"Toys for Kids" is the brainchild of Marsaille who wanted to make kids smile during tough times. In 2014, she sold her toys and bought new ones for kids in a Texas hospital. She also handed out teddy bears to every kid in the house as a part of her presentation. She says, "Kids deserve toys all year long. It makes them feel better and heal faster."

Gracie Thompson, Community and Family Activities Coordinator said, "The families, staff and volunteers of the House looked forward to hosting Marsaille. Her energy brought smiles to the kids and they loved her soulful singing voice and positive attitude. We host events all the time, but it's our first to have someone near the children's age to come and bring encouragement. It was exciting."

The McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD) is the only organization that provides a temporary home-away-from-home for families whose children are receiving treatment for a serious illness or injury at a Dallas area hospital.

Marsaille is also a featured singer on the largest women's conference in the world, Women of Faith. She performs at each of the 22-conferences held in different cities around the United States and sings "Jesus Loves Me" before 5-10K women per conference.

Marsaille's "Toys for Kids" tour is being sponsored in-part by THAT A GIRL COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT AGENCY. The agency creates "enrichment tours" to enrich the lives of others to "Dream bigger. Fly Higher. Matter."
